The “Shibuya Archive Photo Exhibition 2024” was shown at Shibuya Hikarie last year.
Some of the photos around Shibuya from 1960 to 1980, taken by Tadayasu Onishi, the 3rd generation shopkeeper of Dogenzaka, and new unpublished photos will be added to the exhibition.
You can compare the old photos with the current situation using Google Street View. There is a QR code link with a QR code that you can scan with your phone to do this.

The exhibition will also feature experimental video content that combines photos and location information with video generation AI and Google Earth Studio.
The exhibition will examine the use of video records by allowing visitors to travel through the past and present of the Shibuya district.

The exhibition will take place at Shibuya Oiran, a DJ bar in a renovated 75-year-old wooden old house on Rambling Street.
Tadayasu Onishi took many photographs of the area around the venue, including Rambling Street.
We decided to hold this event at “Shibuya Oiran” because it is a place that connects the past and present.

Shibuya Oiran will be open for regular business and DJ events will be held during the exhibition period.
*Opening hours will vary during the event.
