AI MASAYA NAKAHARA「DRAWING A NOVEL WITH VOCAL CORDS!!」Presented by UKAWA NAOHIRO & DOMMUNE

DOMMUNE is launching a project to support the disability of Nakahara Masaya, a Mishima Prize-winning author and noise musician who suffered a cerebral infarction as a complication of diabetes, resulting in significant loss of physical function and vision, and now lives in a wheelchair. The project is titled “AI Nakahara Masaya! Drawing Novels with Vocal Cords!” We will build a knowledge base using all of Nakahara’s texts—novels, autobiographies, critiques—as source material and expand it using RAG. We will also clone Nakahara’s own voiceprint to create “Vocal Cord AI Masaya Nakahara.” Produce a project where the <flesh-and-blood Masaya Nakahara> engages in repeated dialogue with his digital twin, the <Vocal Cord AI Masaya Nakahara>, to co-create a new novel via “SPEECH TO SPEECH” and aim for the Akutagawa Prize!! At DIG SHIBUYA, an installation featuring the vocal cord AI will be held, along with workshops where audiences “draw” the novel alongside AI Masaya Nakahara and visualize it into film alongside AI Naohiro Ukawa.
