About SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH COMMITTEE

The SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH Committee was established to elevate Shibuya’s 150-plus cultural and entertainment venues as integral components of the city’s cultural heritage. Its mission extends to endorsing initiatives integrating cutting-edge technologies like Web3 and AI, to enhance their allure on national and global fronts, consequently revitalizing culture, tourism, and industry.
In addition to the official event DIG SHIBUYA, we’re boosting Shibuya’s creative industry by inviting international art and tech events. This effort aims to elevate Shibuya’s creative scene and create and promote opportunities for residents and visitors to experience art and the latest technology casually.

Community Guideline

Open and flat community

DIG SHIBUYA aims to be open to all who participate. As a community member, respect diverse opinions and backgrounds and be respectful and pleasant to each other.

Prohibition of harassment and discrimination

Harassment of any kind, discriminatory behavior and defamatory remarks are prohibited.

Fairness and reliability

Scams and fraudulent or dishonest behaviour, including multi-marketing schemes, are strictly forbidden. Members of the community should support each other.

Ownership and privacy of data

DIG SHIBUYA emphasizes the importance of users taking ownership of their own data and respecting their privacy.
Avoid unauthorized access to other people’s data and invasion of privacy.

Decentralized Governance

Community members can participate in decision-making and provide their own input through a range of mechanisms. We encourage you to actively participate.

Accessibility

Some Official Program events take place on public roads and outdoor sites in Shibuya and may involve sloped or uneven surfaces. Routes and viewing areas are wheelchair accessible; however, visitors should be aware that Shibuya is a hilly area and conditions may vary by location.

Indoor venues are distributed across multiple buildings. While many locations are accessible, some open-call program exhibitions are held in buildings without elevators. Where applicable, this information is clearly noted on individual program pages.

We recommend reviewing event details in advance and allowing extra time for travel between venues. Accessibility information is provided to support informed planning for visitors with diverse access needs.
