Using Shibuya’s diverse, distributed digital signage, we develop original public artworks in collaboration with artists, based on research into each site’s specific characteristics and surrounding environment. Through interviews and contextual analysis, local conditions and histories are integrated into the creative process, resulting in expressions grounded in urban context. By continuously building upon these practices, we aim to accumulate subtle yet enduring cultural value within Shibuya’s urban fabric, cultivating fertile ground for new forms of expression to continually emerge.
