A new installation by artist JACKSON kaki, set in Shibuya.
Focusing on the “city”—a subject the artist has consistently examined while exploring the interplay between the body and technology through performing arts and stage works—this piece centers on Shibuya’s redevelopment and the desires of human society that emerge from it.
Moving beyond a physical installation, it combines performance using the body as material with layers of information delivered via VR HMD. From three overlapping perspectives—“city,” “body,” and ‘information’—JACKSON kaki constructs his unique interpretation of “Shibuya.”
